Basic Job Description
- Purchaser/Inventory Control
- Place import & domestic purchase orders
- Experienced with Final Costing (1st cost, duty, shipping, taxes, decoration, etc)
- Communicate with Warehouse regarding deliveries, space required
- Assist Accounting with payment details (PI's, LC's)
- Review complete inventory by product type weekly to increase product turns
- Maintain stock to meet sales quarterly targets/forecasts

*Applicant with a Clothing Design College Diploma is preferred
Skill Set
-Knowledge of clothing sizing specs, grading, fit
-Understanding of patterns/technical structure would be a great benefit
-Knowledge of fabrics
-Ability to read trends
-Proficient in Excel
-Experience with Inventory Control programs such as Business Vision, OE etc.
-Understanding & basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator program
*Great benefit to have knowledge of KARAT Program
-Experience with packaging/POP & merchandising would be an asset
-Ability to problem solve/critical thinking
-Able to work well as a team or individually in a FAST paced environment

Basic Responsibilities
-Take active role in developing garments: Style/Fabric/Colour/Structure/Decoration/Fit, etc.
-Research & source new clothing suppliers (domestic & import)
-Ability to communicate with vendors/factories (domestic & import)
-Run reports, manipulating with Pivot/Excel
-Initiate product information seminars semi-annually to educate staff/sales
-Interpret information from customers, Sales Dept. & Management
-Product quality control
-Assist in product approvals & all revisions
-Tracking of ongoing projects/product

-3+ Years of Apparel Design. Including: Jackets, Hats, T-shirts
